Overview

The Emmet Hotel is a timeless landmark in the heart of Clonakilty. This boutique hotel enjoys a unique setting overlooking the tree-lined Emmet Square. The beautiful Georgian Emmet Square is also home to the Michael Collins Museum and the Clonakilty Farmers Market. The Emmet is perfectly located for an easy and fascinating exploration of Clonakilty’s streets and lanes. A short walk brings you to lively pubs, such as the world famous DeBarra’s Folk Club, restaurants, cafes and local attractions including the Clonakilty Model Railway Village and Clonakilty Distillery. We are just minutes from renowned local beaches such as Inchydoney and Long Strand and it is from here that the West Cork Wild Atlantic Way can be explored at your leisure.

The hotel has a fabulous front bar, which has been recently upgraded, a warm and intimate restaurant and our secret walled garden. Our Emmet Garden has covered areas with heating and has been redesigned with more covered seating areas. The ingredient is king here and it’s as locally sourced and as seasonal as it can be. Their lunch & dinner menus are available all day from 12 Noon to 9pm, seven days a week. For quieter times, you can borrow a book in their library and just let time go by. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel and you can avail of free parking outside the hotel and throughout Clonakilty.

Putting on a party is something they do extraordinarily well. Their event spaces are charming; from their restaurant and sun-room to the fun and craic in the front bar - they have a great range of options for all kinds of parties including Summer & Autumn barbecues. Your guests will love a party at The Emmet. Celebrate in style with fizz fuelled receptions, scrumptious dinners & superb wine lists, or evening drinks and gourmet finger foods or even an Emmet Garden Barbeque - anything is possible...

A charming, yet cosmopolitan little gem, set in a stunningly beautiful part of the Emerals Isle. Great food, friendly people with immense sense of civic responsibility. Do not miss the music scene.

We found Clonakilty to be one of if not the friendliest place we've ever visited. The people of "Clon " treated us like we had lived there our whole lives. They welcomed us into their lives like we were family.

Great town ."The people are Splendid" to use a quote of the towns most Famous famous residence Michael Collins. The food and choice of food is excellent, the layout of the town with it meanderingĀ streets creates an intimacy with this place.
