The Polar Express Clonakilty

The journey begins with the elves checking your tickets and welcoming you onboard the Polar Express! Meet Santa’s elves working hard to get the train carriage loaded with all the presents for this Christmas. Next board Santa’s carriage and enjoy time with Santa, sharing presents, stories and laughter in your very own family booth. After the fun-filled experience, Santa will join families in the Candylane Cafe for an optional professional Christmas photo.  The UV torch experience is up next and will be enjoyed by all the family  - explore and discover where the elves live when they’re not working and help the elves find Dasher who’s gone missing from his reindeer friends! A model village road-train journey is included in your experience too but families must help out as it’s powered by Christmas songs, spreading the Christmas spirit to passers-by! Families can also enjoy festive drinks under the outdoor canopy with free hot chocolates for the children. And there’s more - explore the magical Village of Lights, where the miniature West Cork towns are lit up with the beautiful detail that the Model Railway Village is loved for!

Santa and the elves are planning their visit with Covid-19 safety precautions in place. We’ll be operating at a limited capacity so make sure to book your tickets without delay!

With the help of The Model Village Staff and Karl O’Connor Creative, Santa plans to spread magic over Clonakilty this Christmas - we can’t wait to welcome you!

A charming, yet cosmopolitan little gem, set in a stunningly beautiful part of the Emerals Isle. Great food, friendly people with immense sense of civic responsibility. Do not miss the music scene.

We found Clonakilty to be one of if not the friendliest place we've ever visited. The people of "Clon " treated us like we had lived there our whole lives. They welcomed us into their lives like we were family.

Mitch Eveleth Iowa, USA

Great town ."The people are Splendid" to use a quote of the towns most Famous famous residence Michael Collins. The food and choice of food is excellent, the layout of the town with it meanderingĀ streets creates an intimacy with this place.
