Taking in Charge of Estate

When a private housing development has been completed and all the conditions attached to the original planning permission for the development have been fulfilled, the Town Council can take in charge an estate. This is a legal agreement that enables the Town Council to become responsible for the public areas of an estate, such as access roads, playing fields and green spaces.
