Proposed Clonakilty By-Pass

Due to the increasing level of heavy traffic travelling through Clonakilty, it is proposed to develop a new relief road, which will remove this heavy traffic from surface streets within the town.

There is a proposal for a relief route from the Cork Road running south crossing the estuary and joining the Skibbereen road west of Clonakilty. A northern circular route may also be given further consideration.
