Planning Policy

Planning Policy is set out every five years in the Town’s Development Plan. This plan gives a detailed view of planning policy in Clonakilty, including an overview of the appropriate land uses in the town and highlights any special considerations which might affect development in the town, or a specific area in the town. Planning Policy is formulated by a broad spectrum of individuals. These include the town councillors, the town engineer and architect, the town clerk and specialist staff from Cork County Council’s Architects Department.
