Flood Relief
The functions of this sub-committee include identifying areas within the urban area at threat from flooding, to identify preventative measures against flooding, to identify funding to support such measures and update the emergency plan in the event of flooding.

Bye-Laws
The function of this committee is to review and adopt bye-laws on various policy areas. The following bye-laws have being adopted by Clonakilty Town Council:
- Clonakilty Traffic & Parking Bye-Law 2006;
- Regulation and Control of the consumption of intoxicating substances in public places within the Town of Clonakilty Bye-Law 2006.
- Regulation, Control and Use of public parks and open spaces within the Town of Clonakilty Bye-Law 2006; and
- Clonakilty Casual Trading Bye-Law 1995.
Copies of these bye-laws are available for inspection at the Town Hall, Kent Street, Clonakilty.

Employee Taskforce
This sub-committee was set up by the Members of the Town Council in recognition of the current economic climate and the effects on the employment sector, in particular its effects on Clonakilty Town. Its purpose is identify ways to stimulate job creation in the local area and to identify how best the Town Council can position itself in assist in the role of job creation.
