Appeals - Planning

Planning Decisions are open to appeal by applicants or third parties. An Bord Pleanála has the power under the Planning Acts to overturn or uphold a decision of the Planning Authority or to vary the conditions attached.

An appeal must be lodged with An Bord Pleanála in writing within four weeks of the date of the planning authorities decision. The appeal must be accompanied by a fee and satisfy a number of statutory requirements.
