| Description: Clonakilty Brass Band was launched under the baton of Mr Gerard Condon, VEC outreach teacher with the County Cork School of Music, supported by Mr. Paddy Duggan Principle of Clonakilty Community College where the band found a home since. The current committee was formed in 2005 and with the generous support of the local business community, local patrons, the Arts Office Cork County Council and the VEC, the band has been equipped with quality brass instruments. Clonakilty Brass band is made up of about 50 members, ranging in age from 10 years to adult.Band members take weekly brass instrument lessons from VEC tutor Mr Gerard Condon, take yearly music grading and attend weekly band rehearsals. |

| Description: Clonakilty Macra na Feirme is a rural youth organisation that offers an outlet to young people between 17-35 to travel, socialise, compete and be involved in community based activities. Competitions range from sports to preforming arts. The club has a strong tradition in debating, public speaking and dramatic arts, sports and young farmer competitions.
