| Description: Clonakilty Macra na Feirme is a rural youth organisation that offers an outlet to young people between 17-35 to travel, socialise, compete and be involved in community based activities. Competitions range from sports to preforming arts. The club has a strong tradition in debating, public speaking and dramatic arts, sports and young farmer competitions. You don't need to know anything about cows and tractors to enjoy macra just a willingness to have fun! |

| Description: Because of our anxiety about the very real threats of climate change and The guiding principles of the group have been drawn from Sweden’s successful Natural Step process. They are:
Monthly meetings focus on promoting sustainable practices in the town and surrounding districts via regular speakers on sustainability topics, special project sub-committees and the provision of publicity. The Clonakilty Library holds a folder that contains more information about the group and reports from its meetings. The group meets on the First Wednesday of every month at O’Donovan’s Hotel Clonakilty. Meetings begin at 8.00 pm sharp except during the months May to August inclusive, when meetings begin at 8.30pm.
